Delightful story!

My students are obsessed with capybaras, but I’ve had a hard time finding anything but picture books. That is why I requested a copy of this book. I was expecting a fun chapter book with capybaras. This far exceeded my expectations.
First, the writing. Chapter books tend to be written in a very simplistic manner, as is appropriate for their readers. Koss’s writing style goes beyond that. He uses higher vocabulary and figurative language that are appropriate for young readers, helping them grow as readers.
Second, the plot. This is a fun story that will appeal to young capybara lovers with a sense of humor and a love of adventure. At the same time, the story has a strong message about protecting the environment.
Absolutely delightful story.

I really loved the book! I have always been fascinated with capybaras. This book was just awesome. Capybaras are gentle creatures and this book really showed that. It was well written and just a great book all the way. It may be a children’s book but i think anyone who knows anything about capybaras will find it a good book be it an adult or a child!
A Wonderful Story

I really liked this book and how the author used the Capybaras to take the children to the site that could have been the ruin of the jungle and all of the animal’s lives.
I feel like some of the story from the end of chapter 8 and chapter 9 were repeated. On page 30, starting with “Suddenly, the sound of rotors buzzed above.”, continuing through page 32 ending with the line of “I’m watching.”
The beginning of chapter 9 is the same with the addition of words. There’s nothing wrong with it but it made me wonder if the words on pages 30 – 32 were suppose to be there or not.
Despite all of this, I still highly recommend this book for children and adults!
Original and gripping dystopian story
A gripping and original dystopian read. The idea of oxygen becoming a form of currency is both creative and unsettling, which makes the story feel surprisingly believable. The atmosphere is tense, the concept is memorable, and the pacing kept me interested from beginning to end. A strong start to the series, and I’m definitely curious to see where the story goes next.
Thought-provoking and unique concept
This was a very interesting and thought-provoking book. The world-building is unique, and the central premise immediately grabs your attention. It has that dark, futuristic feel that makes you reflect on how fragile everyday life really is. If you enjoy dystopian fiction with an unusual concept, this is worth checking out.
